Situated boldly on New York’s Park Avenue, Loews Regency New York Hotel is conveniently-located in Midtown Manhattan on New York’s famed East Side. Each of its stunning 379 guest-rooms and suites seamlessly blend iconic Art Deco design with modern sensibilities, craftily merging form and function to complement 50 years of service expertise. Guests can experience the allure of Park Avenue at The Regency Bar & Grill or Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa. Loews Regency New York Hotel sets a new standard in luxury and thoughtful design with a legacy of hospitality expertly orchestrated and masterfully performed.

The Loews Regency New York Hotel and Topping Rose House — together with Discover Long Island and Hampton Jitney — have created Regency To Rose House, a limited-edition, uniquely New York experience available for travelers now until August 31, 2019. In turn, guests can arrive in New York City, spend a few nights at the Loews Regency New York Hotel, enjoy two complimentary cocktails at The Regency Bar & Grill, before they jet out east via Hampton Jitney to spend a few nights at Topping Rose House and soak in the summer sun. The experience starts at $499 per night and can be booked online via www.loewshotels.com/regency-hotel/regency-to-rose-house.

I spoke with John Maibach, Managing Director for Loews Regency New York, about Regency To Rose House and more. Highlights from that Q&A are below.

The Loews Regency New York Hotel and Topping Rose House have collaborated on a limited-edition promotion. What can you tell me about that?

John Maibach: Loews Regency New York Hotel and Topping Rose House, together with Discover Long Island and Hampton Jitney, have created Regency To Rose House, a limited-edition, uniquely New York experience available for travelers now until August 31, 2019.

Over the years we’ve noticed that a large percentage of our guests travel to The Hamptons each summer. Since our concierge team has already been helping guests arrange this, we thought it would only make sense to offer an unparalleled travel experience to all our guests and vacationers looking for a true New York experience.

Guests can arrive in New York City, spend a few nights at the Loews Regency New York Hotel, enjoy two complimentary cocktails at The Regency Bar & Grill, before they jet out east via Hampton Jitney to spend a few nights at Topping Rose House and soak in the Summer sun. Transportation from the Hampton Jitney in Bridgehampton to Topping Rose House are included. The Luxury experience includes suite accommodations in both hotels and a more spacious experience on the Hampton Ambassador. Additionally, the hotels partnered with Discover Long Island to provide a list of curated activities for travelers to enjoy while out East.

How long was that collaboration in the works for?

John Maibach: We’ve had the idea for a while but the hardest part was finding the right partner for us. Here at the Loews Regency New York Hotel, our guests expect a certain level of service time and time again. We needed to find a partner that understands the importance and value of good service and offers a similar level guest-room experience to us. We worked closely with Discover Long Island and thought Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton would be the perfect fit.

Your hotel regularly works with interesting partners. Are there other upcoming collaborations for the hotel which you can talk about?

John Maibach: Partnerships are in our brand DNA, in fact, Loews Hotels & Co is founded on partnerships and our CEO, Jonathan Tisch, places a strong emphasis on cultivating partnerships. We have recently expanded our Flavor New York program, bringing in more local New York City purveyors into the restaurant and in room dining like Sigmund’s Pretzels, William Greenberg Desserts and Ess-A-Bagel. Flavor New York continues to be an evolving program here at the hotel.

For someone who has yet to stay at the Loews Regency New York Hotel, what do you think separates it from other hotels in the area?

John Maibach: Our location. We are the only luxury hotel on Park Avenue north of Grand Central and sit in a residential nook where Midtown meets the Upper East Side. There is definitely an allure of having a Park Avenue address. Plus, it’s convenient to so many popular spots like Central Park, Madison Avenue shopping and Museum Mile without the hustle and bustle of some of the other touristy neighborhoods around the city. What could be better?

Is there anything especially different about the Loews Regency New York Hotel from other Loews Regency properties?

John Maibach: It’s all about our team members. We’ve had many team members that have been with us for over 20 years, a few over 30 years! I love watching our frequent guests return to smiling faces and are greeted with hugs by our staff.

Aside from your on-site restaurant at the hotel, do you have a favorite restaurant near the hotel?

John Maibach: I love Avra, Scalinatella and il Mulino.

When not busy with the Loews Regency, how do you like to spend your free time?

John Maibach: I love spending time with my wife and two young girls. Living in Manhattan, there is so much to offer and see.

Finally, John, any last words for the kids?

John Maibach: Book the Regency To Rose House experience — this limited-time offer is not to be missed!
