Recently, the W New York Times Square Hotel and SX Liquors brought out a few legendary members of Hip-Hop for the ‘I Love the 90s’ party tour.’ Grammy Award-winning Hip-Hop duo Salt-N-Pepa and Rob Base (“It Takes Two”) partied with a packed crowd at the W’s swanky seventh floor “Living Room.” Everyone enjoyed signature cocktails, lots of throwback conversation, and a musical trip down memory lane with some of the best Hip-Hop songs of the 90s.
When an Old School Hip-Hop fan thinks about a 90s-themed party, classics from Salt-N-Pepa, Biggie, Craig Mack, The Fugees, Big Daddy Kane and more come mind—and DJ Ria & Peter Paul didn’t disappoint. Whether you were standing at the sleek glass bar, seated off to the side in a luxurious private booth, or settled into one of the plush comfy chairs in the lounge area, a good time was had by all.
The female dynamic duo of Hip-Hop made their way into the Living Room with Salt rocking a super-cute red jumpsuit and Pep wearing a black studded, body-con dress with black thigh-high boots. While the “Push It” singers celebrated Salt’s birthday with a cake shaped like the Salt-N-Pepa insignia, new liquor brand SX Liquors delivered on their bold promise: Your Drink. Sexier! with a specialty Salt-N-Pepa cocktail—2 oz. of SXchachacha, a splash of OJ and a squeeze of lime, all topped off with a salt and pepper rim. Who’s still here for 90s hip-hop music!?
