Yup! You read it correctly!! I’m in New York for NYFW twirling for the first time. If you’re lucky enough to be able to escape from the daily grind like myself, then I hope you came to NYFW stress free with instagramable outfits, no forgotten toiletries, Vogue (the holy fashion grail), and an umbrella!
Here’s my list of things that I brought with me to make my time in the big city memoriable!
Arm Candy
Large Isabella tote by Annabel Ingall: I squealed in delight when a purple box was delivered from Fedex. Immediately I knew it was Paula & Chloe without even reading the custom note. Knowing that swag given at NYFW will be in abundance, tote bag consolidation will be essential for getting back on the plane without paying extra for weight or space. This baby in particular is coral orange leather that will go with almost any outfit. It’s unlined with double handles and finished touches of gold. This tote will surely snag some street fashion mileage this week.
Beauty Essentials
Anti-Skin Care Regimen: This includes SPF moisturizers, sunscreen, and lotions that have hydration. Purlisse has a fabulous on -the-go travel essentials starter kit that will handle up to 14 days of skin TLC which covers you for the duration of fashion week. It works on sensitive skin and keeps harmful rays off the skin.
Nail Love: I came across a nail collection that fits the week just perfect. It’s called Mischo Beauty and the colors are beautiful. Although fashion week is no longer at Lincoln Center, this collection gives a farewell to it in it’s lacquer set. It’s toxin and cruelty free which is a-plus in my book! To add icing on the cake, don’t forget your nail care from my friends at Maxim Nails. It has extended my manicure 7+ days on many of occasions.

Dollar Tree Travel Size Items: These products constantly save me when traveling and fashion week is no exception. You can get some of the best beautifying goodies in travel-size packaging, so you can be fabulous on the go without worrying about TSA throwing them away. Even better, they’re all $10 or less!
Beauty Beat Box’s Aquis Micofiber Hair Towel: This hair towel is a God send! During fashion week, time is a precious commodity so anything that will help will shave off hair prep time I’m ALL in. The Aquitex fabric is so absorbent that you don’t need to rub your hair. Just pat it dry, wrap it, relax, and within minutes your hair will be so dry that it only needs a little heat to style it. Trust me, you will thank me later.
The Luxx Puff: This isn’t your typical shower puff but a 2-in-1 shower puff that is half loofah, half microfiber cloth. Its made of polygiene antimicrobial fabric to block bacteria growth and it’s machine washable. Even during travel I like a shower experience and NYFW shouldn’t be any different.

Workout Essentials
Working out while on travel is critical to making sure my head is clear and ready for the day ahead. With over 30 confirmed shows for NYFW, Lane Bryant’s sunglasses, active bra, and capri pants will be in heavy rotation. My pals over at Lane Bryant are doing a killer campaign (#PlusIsEqual) right now which is calling for equal representation and visibility for women in fashion. I’m excited to see the big reveal on the 14th and how it will shape this year’s fashion cycle.
