There’s something about good music and a lovely car that makes travelling so much easier. Lincoln knows how to combine the two and make a first-class impression. During my coverage of the LA Auto Show, I drove the 2015 Lincoln MKX, a high-end crossover that unleashes an all new interior and exterior design. The LA Auto Show debuts the newest and most anticipated cars to hit the marketplace and showing up in the MKX is a great way to set the tone to view other great automakers.
The Lincoln MKX is a luxury crossover that’s perfect for a red carpet event or a road trip. From chrome, wood and leather styling details to an infotainment system that helps the driver mix comfort with functionality, the MKX was a dream to drive to the LA Auto Show and all of its festivities.
Speaking of festivities, Lincoln was the sponsor for Automotive Rhythms’ show at the swanky Viceroy Santa Monica, on Saturday, November 21, 2015 showcasing heartthrob actor/singer Jussie Smollett from the TV show Empire. Jussie, who plays “Jamal Lyon” on the show, showed off his vocal performance chops with a medley of songs including “Heavy”, which was featured on Empire. Attendees had the opportunity to get up-close and personal with the newly redesigned MKX as well as Lincoln’s full fleet of cars for a test drive. Even better, the first 250 guests to test drive any car in Lincoln’s fleet won passes to the LA Auto Show. The poolside event also had a fashion show hosted by Beauty and Style Expert Melissa Hibbert of the GLAM Agency and it highlighted The Walter Collection and the Okera Banks OTG Essentials Collection.
