I had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Samsung Galaxy 6 during my branding coverage of the NBMBAA conference. I was nervous about putting my iPhone to the side and “test-driving” an Android, but this phone kept up with all of my demands. Every single picture, video, conference call, memo and email captured during this week-long conference seemed almost effortless with this phone. It tested my loyalty to “all things Apple” and gave my phone a run for its money.
The Galaxy S6 is one of the latest smartphones from the self-proclaimed “next big thing” Samsung maker and is ideal for the person on the go. This is not just a phone, it’s a sidekick at your service. The S6 is captivating to the eyes with its bright 5.1 inch HD display. The slim-framed phone is gentle on hands of any size and fits easily in the back pocket of your favorite pair of jeans or cute wallet case. I’ve always been #teamiPhone and I was hesitant to switch from the IOS system, especially when my having a phone that could keep the pace of the ultra-busy conference was a part of my job. But Android’s 5.0 Lollipop operating system quickly calmed my nerves. I was able to post updates to Twitter & Instagram while avoiding any calls that would interrupt my posting or snapshots, thanks to the phone’s “priority” feature. The multi-window capability allowed me to email my colleagues while copying and pasting notes from memos or browsing the Internet.
Any lover of a great smartphone knows there are two things you must have—a stunning camera to capture those glorious selfies and a battery with juice. One of the best features of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is its battery life as it comes with a fast charging battery that will take you from half-past dead to up and running within 30 minutes. Even Samsung knows every moment counts.
This phone is not only fast, sleek and stylish but it’s lightweight, crisp and user friendly. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is the perfect phone for the person who wants to capture life’s memories with just one push of a button and no lag time or multi-task with the phone’s apps. I haven’t given up my iPhone just, yet, but it’s great to know that there is another amazing phone that won’t compromise the things I’ve grown to love about a smartphone.
