Audi just launched its rocket-fast R8 V10 Plus with a Super Bowl 50 commercial on YouTube. Titled “The Commander,” this extended 90-second version tells the story of a retired astronaut who sits deep in mind exploration until he is given the keys to a brand new Audi R8 V10 plus.
On sale this spring, Audi’s new racy 2017 R8 V10 plus portends to be a not-to-be-forgotten thrill ride. Audi claims its race-tuned R8 has a top speed of 205 mph and goes 0-60 mph in an almost unbelievable 3.2 seconds. The “new R8” also comes equipped with Audi’s redesigned “virtual cockpit” as well as Audi’s “connect” services including 4G LTE wireless and Google Earth maps.
We felt lucky to see the R8 V10 plus up close and personal at last fall’s LA Auto Show. Incredibly, the very shot above of this race car-inspired ride went viral as Audi fans are more than enthused about the new R8. Here’s another look at this uber sporty ride from behind:
