The most technologically advanced Rolls-Royce yet, the Rolls-Royce Ghost was unveiled this month. This fine automobile succeeds the most successful product in the marque’s 116-year history, reflecting “post opulet” design philosophy and aiming to reject superficial expressions of wealth.
Built on a rigid aluminum Rolls-Royce spaceframe architecture, the vehicle boasts all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, aiming to deliver unprecedented poise and surefootedness. It also features the world’s first Planar suspension system (further increasing its agility and effortlessness) and hallmark 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine (delivering 571PS and 850nm).
Further innovating from prior Rolls-Royce automobiles, the Rolls-Royce Ghost’s doors now electrically open as well as close. Per a company-released statement, its interior components are tuned to “specific resonant frequency to create a sense of serenity.” Meanwhile, its “down lit Pantheon grille discreetly illuminates Rolls-Royce iconography.” All of that is shown below in video form.
